ESRC DTP Innovation Fellowships

The Cambridge ESRC DTP actively supports students in finding opportunities for collaborative activity with non-academic partners, including internships and placements with government, business and third-sector organisations.

ESRC DTP Internships and Placements

Cambridge Grand Challenges (CGC), is the framework that delivers internships for the DTP and is a unique initiative developed to support interdisciplinary engagement between industry, government and academic partners across the research and innovation system to tackle local, national and global challenges.

The internship opportunities we offer to our students gives them the chance to work with some of the most innovative and brilliant minds in Business, Government and Third Sector departments.

The learning and development benefits from working on the front line will last a lifetime and are already giving our students a competitive edge in their careers and future employability prospects.

The dedicated CGC website features videos, case studies and testimonials from our students and partners, who have taken the challenge and worked together towards change, personal development, and building a better future for society.

At Cambridge Grand Challenges, we promote interdisciplinary research and foster collaboration among researchers and industry to find innovative solutions to some of the most significant challenges facing humanity today. Through partnerships with academia, government, and third sector organisations, CGC brings together experts from various fields to work on interdisciplinary projects in areas such as climate change, health, and social inequality and many more.

By applying scientific research and methods to real-world problems, we strive to have a positive impact on society.
