Research in Practice

A collaborative initiative designed to address local, national, and global issues.

This interdisciplinary framework of collaboration was established around addressing real-world problems and engaging the Social Sciences with other disciplines to provide solutions to critical issues such as climate change, ageing of society to applications of Artificial Intelligence.

This programme of work has led to more students, academics and non-academic partners being attracted to the Social Sciences Partnership. This collaboration had been extended beyond the traditionally predominant policy and third sector partners to industry through the National Productivity Investment Fund and Business Boost awards.

With reference to some 60+ non-academic partnerships, our internships and placements can be part-time or full time and range from 1-6 months long.
