About the ESRC DTP in Cambridge

Cambridge has significant experience of supporting doctoral students to success across a range of disciplines and modes of study.
Social Sciences at Cambridge offers world-class expertise in research within a wide range of fields, and provides in-depth research training, high-quality subject supervision by acknowledged subject experts, and comprehensive personal and professional development opportunities.

Each year, at least 33 doctoral studentships are offered to outstanding candidates in order that they may benefit from the excellent graduate education and research environment offered at Cambridge.

The structure of the Cambridge ESRC DTP training programme is accessible to all students. DTP students attend termly Training and Engagement events alongside other cohort-building activities to help build strong links with their peers.
The Cambridge ESRC DTP actively supports students in finding opportunities for collaborative activity with non-academic partners, including internships and placements with government, business and third-sector organisations.
