Leadership and Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship isn’t a Job – it's a mindset!

From Idea to Spin-off with Impulse Programme

This scheme will offer PhD students and early career researchers the chance to be involved with developing a company out of research findings generated within the university. Run in conjunction with the Maxwell Centre's Impulse Programme, this will consist of a 3-month project going through the process of developing an idea into a fully-fledged spin-off company.

Entrepreneurship: an introduction for PhD researchers

We will be hosting a half-day session for all second and third-year PhD students from the Schools of Arts & Humanities, and the School of Humanities & Social Sciences focusing on entrepreneurship. There will be the opportunity to hear from experts from across Cambridge University, including speakers from Cambridge Enterprise, the Judge Business School and the Maxwell Centre. By the end of the day, you will know about the unique options available to you within the University and will have written your own road map for an entrepreneurial future. The session starts with lunch and will finish with a one-hour lecture from a guest speaker, followed by drinks and an opportunity to meet invited guests and peers.
